What this check is

A request from this site to https://lichess.org/api/puzzle/daily came back OK (status 200). If your own browser still shows a blank page, the server is up and the block is closer to you: a network filter, a browser extension, DNS, or a cached error.

Kingside is not the Lichess status page. There is no incident log here. For the product itself, use lichess.org. The board, puzzles, and analysis on this site do not call Lichess during a game, so they keep working when that check fails.

If the official site will not load

Try a private window, another network, or another device. Disable extensions that rewrite chess sites. A workplace or school filter sometimes blocks game servers while the rest of the web works.

"Lichess down" and "is Lichess down" spike when a deploy or a provider hiccup lines up with a popular tournament. Those searches fall off when the homepage loads again. A single failed check on this page should not be quoted as an official incident.

While you wait, you can play a local game or solve a tactic. Neither needs an account on lichess.org.

Questions

Is Lichess down right now?

Not according to this check. The daily puzzle API returned HTTP 200.

Does a failed check mean my account is gone?

No. A reachability failure says nothing about accounts, ratings, or bans. Sign-in exists only on lichess.org.
