About this board

Kingside is a browser chess board. You can play a local game, solve a short set of tactics, read a position, edit a diagram, or replay a PGN. Piece rules follow standard chess.

It is not lichess.org and it is not Chess.com. Those names appear because people search them when they want a chess game, a puzzle, or an explanation of ratings. Accounts and sign-in for Lichess stay on lichess.org.

The piece images are the CBurnett set, which is in the public domain and is also the set Lichess serves. Move and capture sounds are the standard clips from the Lichess sound set. The king icon is original.
